Lotus Esprit
Historical Register
Lotus Project is a non-profit historical database created to preserve the history of the Lotus Esprit and help keep these cars connected to their past.
We currently hold records for 895 Lotus Esprit cars, including chassis details, registration history, colours, locations, ownership notes, restoration information and archived photographs.
Original owners, former owners and current owners often like to see where these cars are now, what became of them, and whether any old photographs or memories still survive.
One of the main aims of the site is to collect original period photographs, old show images, restoration pictures, registration details and personal history from people who knew or owned these cars.

Old photographs are extremely valuable. If you have factory images, show pictures, restoration photos or old ownership memories, they can help build a better record of each car.
For owners and enthusiasts
This site is intended for current owners, ex-owners, original owners, researchers and Lotus enthusiasts who want to preserve and share the history of these cars.
Future expansion
The register currently covers S1 and S2 records, but the structure can grow to include S3, Turbo Esprit, S4 and later cars if required.
