In the six years I have owned it I have completely restored it. All of the paint was removed back to the Gel coat and the car has been fully repainted in Lotus Monaco white. It has been fully re trimmed in the tartan and green material with orange carpet as per the James Bond car specification . The engine has been fully rebuilt by PNM Engineering and it has a new full stainless exhaust system .All the suspension has been rebuilt or replaced , the car looks as good underneath as it does on top. Also it must be noted that we have restored many S1 Esprit's and have won the Lotus Forums Concours d'elegence competition with two of them in 2015 and 2016 I have made a service history file of the restoration and have invoices reaching just under £9000. (Bibster - I think that's a good decision) 30-05-12 For Sale For restration,1976 esprit ,but not registered till 1977,hences registration ,it was originally WHS111S, this is an early car number 63 of the production line , with a lotus provenance certificate, I have all the past owners names and addresses, its last mot was 2004,the trim has been replace with red leather but there is still evidence of the original green fabric and red carpet, all engine and VIN numbers match, it is orange and has been made to look like a series two, however I believe it is a series one with original numbers on panels, it could be restored back to original.(at a cost) Would sell for above.5k 27/02/2023 (Update) Car now has full set of Wolfrace wheels inc. spare. Dashboard has been repaired to original spec. and then strengthened. Original S1 centre tunnel cover acquired. Original S1 Door cards acquired and repaired Original S1 seats have been acquired. For Parts Or Custom Project Series 1 Espirit Project on 2040-cars This is a Series 1 Lotus Esprit Body only. No chassis, No drive train. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Interestingly this was a U.K. market car, originally with right hand drive. The body was modified at some point for racing and has huge ducts added to direct air into the engine compartment. Both doors open and shut and have latches. Both doors have good glass in them. There is no other glass included. Both doors still have their power window motors. The pop up headlamps still have their motor too and this must be an early S1 car because it only has one motor for both sides. There is one federal rear bumper included. Both door panels are included. There is a very new and un-assembled roll cage included with all the tubes pre-bent and marked as to their position but not yet welded together. There are lots of good parts here to repair a damaged Esprit or you could use this as a basis for a custom project or maybe make it into a submarine or yard art? I do not have a title or any paper work for this car. It is sold as-is and must be picked up within 30 days. It can be viewed by appointment in Granite Falls WA (near Seattle). It can easily be loaded on a flat bed and I can help load it.
